My Reflection

Overall throughout this essay I have found researching RPDR really interesting, as a viewer myself for the past few series I have become more and more engaged with it. I have found out a lot of new information about the show and things behind the scenes. Watching episodes again and clips on YouTube, I have probably watched over 50 videos to help ‘inspire’ me to do this essay. What I’ve learnt from this is that there is so many different approaches you can take to analysing a case study, and that you  need to plan and focus on  a select few from the beginning otherwise you’ll go off on a tangent. My thought have definitely changed through my research as I thought that the representation in RPDR would just be a basic representation of the LGBT community, However its much deeper than that. Also I thought it would contradict the narrative theories as it’s realty TV, however they do work. If anything through doing this essay it has made me a bigger fan of RPDR. Also made me think if I could make a show like this as a studio show in the future.
